H2 IIS SIDER is a new laboratory specialized in mechanical tests in a high pressure hydrogen environment, with technological solutions that allow it to fulfill operating standards that very few structures in Europe are able to satisfy.

Born from the union between 2 companies that have been collaborating for years in the field of material testing and who have decided to combine their strengths for a common purpose.

IIS, made up of various bodies and operational divisions specialized in different sectors of expertise, offers global services in many industrial sectors, such as oil & gas, civil and industrial infrastructure, energy, transport, chemical, electromechanical and manufacturing, in Italy and abroad.

A historic institute, with a long history, made with rigor and integrity, which deals with various activities, such as:

  • information and dissemination, among its aims is to “promote and encourage the progress of welding in all its fields in Italy, including similar and complementary techniques, and to contribute to its knowledge and diffusion”.
  • execution of mechanical and special tests and services to support funded research projects.
  • certification of personnel, procedures, companies and products
